Adjust spring tension for tremolo action (affects string tension)
Since this is a dive only tremolo, meaning you can only push the tremolo bar down, spring tension is not quite as critical as it is with a floating bridge that can be pushed and pulled.
Crank down on the string claw screws to increase the spring tension, or pull force against the pull force of the strings.
The bottom of the bridge should be flat against the body of the guitar.
If you allow the bridge to float just a little, keeping this kit guitar in tune will be a nightmare, to put it mildly. This bridge works great for the purpose it was designed for--dive only.
If you want a full blown floating bridge, such as a Floyd Rose, you'll want to invest in the full course that shows every detail of every piece of guitar hardware with complete setup videos.
