Follow the order of assembly to make things easy for yourself. Be sure no wires are caught between the pickguard and the body. All wires must be routed through the channels.

Snug all screws. Threads are cut into the wood as the screw goes in. These holes are drilled relatively large, so it's easy to twist a screw too hard and strip the wood threads the screw creates.
